Conflict Minerals

Declaration pursuant to Article 7(4) of Regulation (EU) 2017/821

DURUM Verschleißschutz GmbH states that the metals it imports under HS code 2849 90 30 („tungsten carbide“) from the United States, Brazil, and South Africa are derived exclusively from recycling.
These are recyclable materials containing tungsten within the meaning of Article 2(s) of the Regulation,
not partially or unprocessed minerals or by-products of other ores.

We have taken the following due diligence measures in advance of this determination:

  • Sourcing recycled materials exclusively from suppliers who confirm their recycled origin to us in writing,
  • Annual plausibility check of supplier information as part of our supplier exchange,
  • Daily sanctions list check via our merchandise management system,
  • Annual comparison with the CAHRA data of the Responsible Minerals Initiative,
  • Complaint and whistleblower mechanism via a whistleblower e-mail address published on this website.
